Attendance is taken very seriously at Fulmer Infant school. No holiday during term time is authorised unless there are extenuating, compassionate reasons and parents are encouraged to make dentist and medical appointments for their children in the holidays if appropriate. Families may be fined by the Education Welfare Service if they take holidays in term time, please see attendance policy for details.

90% attendance sounds good, but, in reality, it means that your child misses:

• The one-half day each week
• Nearly four weeks every school year
• Over one school year in a school career
