We are a small rural school and our opening times reflect the need for families to travel to school, as well as taking and collecting siblings from the local junior schools. 

We have submitted our opening times to the Local Authority and will follow any guidance, including the results of parent consultation on different timings in line with the Government White Paper 2022 (currently total hours per week is 30 hours).

Current timings:

8:45am Gates open - Parents to remain with their children in the playground until the bell rings at 8:55am.

8:55am School Starts - The school bell rings and children are met in the playground by their teachers.

9:00am Gates close - Any children arriving after this time should enter through the school reception. Parents should sign their children in. Lessons begin at 9:00am. It is very important that children are in school and ready for learning when lessons begin, as this will give them the very best opportunity to succeed. 

3:00pm School Finishes - The gates open at 3:00pm. Parents collect their children from the playground. Please ensure your child and the teacher can see you, to enable the children to be dismissed safely.
